The Italian fashion house announced on Wednesday\u00a0the launch of collaborative projects with the artist, including a capsule collection and murals in New York City and Milan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">With Alessandro Michele at the helm, Gucci has partnered with several artists on various projects. This year alone, the company tapped illustrator Jayde Fish to create a large-scale mural in New York City, produced a collaborative project with digital artists for #TFWGucci, and partnered with British illustrator Angelina Hicks on a mural and limited-edition t-shirt collaboration.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Gucci\u2019s latest collaborator, Coco Capit\u00e1n worked with Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele on the A Magazine issue that he curated. Born in Spain in 1992, Coco graduated from the Royal College of Art, has been featured in magazines such as Self Service and Document Journal, and recently published a book,\u00a0<i>Middle Point Between My House and China.<\/i><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Capit\u00e1n\u2019s signature handwritten statements were incorporated in Gucci\u2019s fall 2017 presentation. The artist&#8217;s handwriting was used for the show invitations and for the entrance of the show space. Michele also ended the show in a t-shirt featuring Capit\u00e1n\u2019s slogan, \u201cI want to go back to believing a story.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Michele and Capit\u00e1n&#8217;s ongoing partnership led to a collaboration collection that includes t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, knits, coats, belt-bags, backpacks and totes that feature Capit\u00e1n\u2019s na\u00efve-looking handwritten messages. The unisex collection also feature Gucci\u2019s signature green-red-green Web stripe and gold interlocking \u2018GG\u2019 motif.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.garmento.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/9i.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6981\" src=\"https:\/\/www.garmento.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/9i-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"gucci article in garmento\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.garmento.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/9i-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/www.garmento.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/9i.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The &#8216;What are we going to do with all this future?&#8217; hoodie by Gucci and Coco Capit\u00e1n.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<article>\n<div class=\"content line fg-article__content\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">To celebrate the collection\u2019s launch at select Gucci stores and online at the end of July, Gucci unveiled on Wednesday Capit\u00e1n\u2019s work on a 2,500-square-foot wall on Lafayette Street in New York City and a large wall at Largo la Foppa in Milan\u2019s Corso Garibaldi district.
