Nike will also continue to make footwear and gloves for athletes signed to Nike sponsorship deals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: san-francisco-light; font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;Nike has been a long-time and trusted partner of NFL and we&#8217;re thrilled to extend our relationship with them,&#8221; said Brian Rolapp, Chief Media and Business Officer for the NFL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: san-francisco-light; font-size: 14pt;\">Nike has held the NFL contract since 2012. Prior to this, Reebok had a ten-year NFL contract secured through a deal worth $250 million.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: san-francisco-light; font-size: 14pt;\">Rolapp added, &#8220;The NFL and Nike are a powerful combination and we anticipate working closely with them on several programs, including youth and player initiatives.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: san-francisco-light; font-size: 14pt;\">Nike&#8217;s contract with the NFL was originally set to expire in 2020.
