Coal Drops Yard in London’s King’s Cross is continuing to illustrate its credentials as a magnet for quirky and independent fashion brands with the latest announcement of new tenants coming Friday. Beija London and Emin & Paul have both signed up for stores at the shopping destination that will open in October.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Heatherwick Studio-designed shopping district is one of the most anticipated shopping developments in London and it’s particularly interesting because of its unique tenant mix.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beija London is \u201can innovative British lingerie brand\u201d and will open its very first permanent physical store there. The brand has operated a successful series of pop-ups but will now extend its mainly-online offer to a permanent location.<\/span><\/p>\n

Its new store opens in a space rich with heritage detail, featuring an original cobbled floor, Victorian brickwork and refurbished iron columns.<\/span><\/p>\n

The brand was founded by sisters Mazie Fisher and Abbie Miranda as an independent label in 2016, and aims to take a more personalised and unique approach to luxury lingerie. Across their size spectrum, each design has a different construction that \u201cappreciates the nuances of various bust sizes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The duo behind the label said of the new store \u201cthere’s something really exciting about the thought of all of us shopkeepers opening at the same time. The location is perfect, easy for everyone to get to and so beautifully designed. We feel really fortunate to be involved.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Emin Young and Paul Kim will expand from their successful debut location in Redchurch Street, Shoreditch to open a second location in King\u2019s Cross. The Independent duo will also open the new location in October.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new store will showcase their \u201csubtle and considered approach to womenswear and accessories\u201d to a new, wider audience.<\/span>

\nThey founded the brand after studying fashion in London and Paris a decade ago and specialise in timeless, sculptural garments accentuating the female form.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
